Assistant Supervisor - Distribution Center
(Mid Shift 12 pm - 8:30 pm)
The Assistant Supervisor of the Wave Sort provides hands on supervision to the Wave Sort associates. This position is responsible for performing various job functions within the distribution center. These may include overseeing production, training or coaching associates, reporting duties, as well as being able to fill in any role within the department.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Oversee/maintain production and accuracy goals of the department Make work assignments Assist in training, coaching, and orienting new associates Administrative duties for accurate tracking and recordkeeping Accurate reports for timekeeping Supervise and train staff for wave packing Keep supervisor informed on operations problems/issues Scanning stock and mail Complete various projects assigned by the Senior Manager of the Distribution Center Track associates' attendance and schedule adherence daily Complete customer orders as needed Maintain PCI compliance per AmeriMark's policy. Other duties as assigned Supervise - Wave Sorting Associates - 8-20 reps Special assignments as needed Performance reviewed no less than annually
Qualification Requirements:
High School Diploma and/or equivalent experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Word. 1-2 years of general distribution center experience. 1 year of supervisory experience is preferred Ability to multi-task, communicate effectively, data entry, time management, mathematical skills, detail oriented, and interpersonal skills Prompt, regular attendance required. 40 hours/week. 8 hr schedule/day. Schedule is 12pm-8:30pm Monday through Friday. Willing to work Overtime as needed.
