The Inside Sales Engineer is responsible for increasing sales, assisting with training programs and cultivating new customers for the Fan Division. The Inside Sales Engineer will articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users and identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process.
Candidate must be ready for action, hard work and have a high energy level. In addition, we are looking for a self-motivated individual looking to put their own signature on the business. The ability to think outside the box and be involved in the redesign of the business will allow the right individual to grow with the company.
Skills and Competencies
Candidate should have effective and pro-active customer communication skills including proposal development, delivery, and Request for Quote (RFQ) responses. Able to respond to functional and technical elements and ability to methodically understand and resolve complex issues. Plan resources, time and costs; explain variances. Effectively manage change at all stages of the sale, delivery, and operations process. Growing sales in excess of commodity business through value-added solutions and Engineering services. Persuading clients that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery. Offer after-sales support services. Ability to review and identify contract terms to meet both client and company needs. Recording and maintaining client contact data via Sugar CRM. Managing and interpreting customer requirements; making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets client needs. Able to convey customer requirements to Engineering and other Fan Team Members. Document account activities, generate reports, and keep records of business transactions with customers and suppliers. Demonstrates and communicates a high level of ownership and commitment to succeed in a sales career and to meet regular sales targets. Ability to travel throughout USA and Canada sales territory approximately 10%.
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree, mechanical engineering preferred; an Associate's degree may be considered based on experience. 3-5 years sales experience in related field; industrial fan and/or pump experience preferred. Engineering work experience a plus, can be counted together with sales experience.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
